What This Club Is All About
The Longmeadow Newcomers' Club was founded in 1963 as a way for women who are new to the area to get out and make new friends. The Club provides numerous opportunities for new residents to get to know one another and feel at home in their new town. To become a member, we ask for an annual fee of $50 to cover food, drinks, special event goodies, and our end of the year soiree.
We have monthly events including Cookbook club and Bunco, as well as special events each month! Events are hosted by members, new and old, who volunteer. The club provides everything and will always help with setup and cleanup, so the hostess' workload is minimal. |
The club serves the community, providing a monthly meal to a local soup kitchen, Loaves and Fishes. Board members do grocery shopping, and brownies are baked by club members who volunteer each month. We are also involved with a local Teen Parenting Program that assists young mother's in learning and establishing necessary life skills to support their families and themselves.
We always welcome new ideas and last minute events such as an impromptu movie night that may pop up every so often! The best part about the club is that we're flexible. Come as you are, as often as you want, and leave with new friends! We look forward to meeting you! |
